Practice Nursing Team

Practice Nurses

The practice employs three practice nurses:

The Nurses have their own appointment times, offices and fully equipped treatment room. There are usually two members of the team on duty each morning accepting appointments between 8.30am and 12.30pm. The afternoon appointments are from 1.30pm to 6.00pm.

They will see you for dressings, leg ulcer care, removal of stitches, ear syringing, preventative health screening, weight management, blood pressure checks and smear tests. They also hold clinics for patients with Cardiovascular disease, Diabetes, Asthma, Chronic Bronchitis, Child immunisation and Travel advice, including holiday vaccinations. They can also give health advice and are available to return telephone calls at the end of each morning.

When making an appointment with the nurse please indicate to the receptionist the reason for the appointment as this will help to ensure that you are booked in with the appropriate nurse. The nurse may need to consult a doctor about your problem if your condition requires it.
