Midwives
The Midwives provide care and support for mothers before and after delivery, and care for the baby during the first fortnight. They also hold regular antenatal clinics in Malpas. If you have any queries, call the Community Midwife Office on 01244 365166. They are based at the Countess of Chester but also support patients booked in Wrexham, Leighton and Shrewsbury.
Mrs Di Langhorn is the main Community Midwife for Malpas.
Di trained at Chester and has many years midwifery experience in all settings. Her particular interest is in antenatal education and she has been an antenatal teacher for the National Childbirth Trust for over 10 years.
Mrs Karen Smith is based in Tattenhall and Farndon.
Karen also trained at Chester. Both are experienced in the home birth setting and would be happy to discuss this.
