Dr Chris C Hulbert
Qualifications: MB ChB, University of Bristol 1973 MRCP UK 1978 FRCGP 2006
Dr Hulbert works with the help of Dr Emma Taylor. He has been at Malpas since 1982. As senior partner since 1983, his responsibilities include day to day management issues, supporting the practice manager and employed staff and also taking a strategic view of practice development in discussion with his partners. He strives to provide the highest quality of care for the patients of Malpas and his success in this ambition has been recognised with successfully achieving Fellowship by Assessment (FBA) of the Royal College of GPs in 2006. Outside work he enjoys going abroad and growing vegetables.
Dr Louise M C Davies
Qualifications: MB BS The Medical College of St Bartholomew's University of London 1985 Family Planning Certified.
Dr Davies is a partner working alongside Richard and has been with the practice since 1994. She provides the whole range of general medical services including child health surveillance, contraception, maternity care, minor operations and terminal care. In addition she fits coils and inserts contraceptive implants. Dr Davies has a special interest in asthma, hypertension and rheumatology having been a clinical assistant under Dr Joshua Dixey, Consultant Rheumatologist at Princess Royal Hospital Telford. She has additional responsibility as Clinical Governance Lead Prescribing Lead, manages the practice dispensary and is involved with the management of the out-of-hours service, "Shrop doc" as Council member and Clinical Governance Committee member. In her spare time Dr Davies enjoys all the "Fs": Food, Fine wine, Foreign travel and Friends and Family.
Dr Richard Henney
Qualifications: MB ChB University of Liverpool 2001 
Dr Henney trained and worked in Liverpool and Merseyside for 10 years before working in South Manchester. He worked for a few years in surgery before moving to the field of General Practice. He completed his membership of the Royal College of General Practice in 2007.
In medicine his areas of special interest are very much evolving. At present he has a particular interest in minor surgery, urology and men's health.
When not at work he spends most of his free time with family and friends.In the future he would like to spend less time being lost in country lanes although he finds this is still quite enjoyable after being in the city.

Dr Emma Taylor
Qualifications: MB ChB Liverpool University 1985 DRCOG 1990 MRCGP 1990 DCCH 1992 DFFP 2000 LOC IUT 2002 Family planning certified.
Dr Taylor has been with the practice since 1999. She is employed by the practice doing regular surgeries to help Dr Hulbert with his half of the practice list. She combines this role with that of being the mother of twins. Dr Taylor provides the whole range of general medical services including child health surveillance, contraception (including coil fitting), maternity care, minor operations and terminal care. Her role includes attending and contributing at the weekly partner's lunchtime meetings and Primary Health Care Team meetings.
OTHER DOCTORS
From time to time there may be a GP registrar working under Dr Hulbert's supervision. The practice employs other doctors to help with the smooth running of the practice and they may be involved with either team.
Dr J. A. (Tony) Statham
Qualifications: MB BS Newcastle Upon Tyne University 1975
Dr Statham has been providing holiday cover for the partners since 2002 so can be working for either team. He used to run a practice in Chester but now prefers to do locum work in the Cheshire region and he also does contract work for the Department of Work and Pensions. He has a special interest in allergies and IBS.
