Dispensers
The Dispensary is an important part of the practice and contributes a significant amount to the service the practice offers to patients. Our team of six dispensers deal with all requests for repeat prescriptions. They manage the requests made by :-
- EMIS Access (on line) via this website (please ask the Dispenser for details)
- fax to 01948 860142
- letter (post boxes are at the front door and dispensary counter)
- AS A LAST RESORT: telephone line which is open every morning between 8.00am and 9.00am
In addition they offer a busy service to patients attending the surgery, dispensing prescriptions written by the doctor during a consultation and repeat medicines for dispensing patients who live more than one mile from any chemist. This is approximately two thirds of our patient list.
They have a good working relationship with the local pharmacy and pharmacist and assist patients with queries regarding their prescriptions which they take to the Chemist.
Dispensers all have a recognised qualification or are working towards one.
